if you have the heat on in any vehicle, and there is only cold air coming out of the vents (providing the engine coolant temp gauge shows that the engine is warm) then there is no antifreeze flowing through the heater core, this may be caused by a couple of things: first, there might be a leak in the heater core, but usually antifreeze will be leaking into the heater core housing and will be visible, or there might not be enough antifreeze in the vehicles's radiator, or the water pump might be damaged and not circulating coolant. hope this helps and good luck!

HEATER CORE.
There's a good chance that your heater core has sprung a leak.
I am having the same problem. The dealer wants to charge 100.00 to fix the one post which isn't horrible but I would rather have metal parts so that it doesn't happen again. Do you know what the site is for the aftermarket kit?
did the heater core start leaking? anyway you should have no problem with the air if you bypass the heater core.
you will have coolant in your passenger front floorboard and when you turn your heater on your windshield will fog up
The dash has to be removed. Once the dash is out, the top of the heater case comes off to gain access to the core.
Heat control is by air flow control doors in the a/c and heater box. There is no water valve.
Behind dash. To find relative location, look under hood and follow the heater hoses (2) to the firewall. That's it.
This is a big job. Get a manual on your car to make sure it is done properly.
