What could be wrong with a 1987 Chevy 1500 4x4 it shudders only when under load but not when coasting?

Could be a result from a bad spark plug(s), spark plug wire(s), distributor cap or rotor.

Your engine shudders shakes real bad when warmed up esp in idle. Could this be the compressor even though you have nothing turned on ie ac heatdefrostetc.?
Without much to go on, I would suggest you look for a vacuum leak, especially if the engine runs good under acceleration and only shakes and shudders at idle.
Why would your 1990 voyager all of a sudden develop a violent vibration when the throttle is depressed that increases with speed but goes away when coasting no other problems though?
it could be your cat converter. it is located under the car. it could be clogged.

Why would your 1998 Chevy 1500 start jerking and bucking when accelerating like its not getting enough fuel and practically will not climb a hill but run mostly smooth while coasting?
The jerking and bucking is probably along with a pop sound from the engine. This always indicated a LEAN condition with the Engine. In other words, it is NOT getting enough fuel to run under a load or that speed.
