you either dont have very good anti freeze or you need a battery with more cranking amps. you should also try putting grease(not wd40 or other lubes that come in a can) around your pulleys where the belt runs through because they could be freezing up and sticking together. More Info: Engine Cranks over fine, Fuel Pump appears to be working, Engine just will not fire, when it starts to warm up outside, no problem starts right up. Problem shows up when vehicle sits outside and weather is cold and damp overnight. The problem was the coil. It had a slight crack in the body and it was arcing to the frame. Suspect that when it was cold and damp it could not generate enough spark to get the engine to fire.

A sticky brake caliper could do that.

There are a few things that could cause an 87 Chevy Astro to idle high when it is started and warmed up. It could be a bad fuse, a leak in the vacuum, or an issue with the throttle.

It could be electical like a fuse, but I had a problem on my 2000 Astro that was caused by a rubber vaccuum line that was split. I replaced it for about 2 bucks and it corrected the problem. Hope this helps

yes, they are in the distributor. Take the cap off, remove the rotor and there it is. The problem could be a bad coil

To bellow means to shout loudly. The opposite of that would be to be silent, or be quiet. You could also say to whisper. A bellow is the shout itself. The opposite of that would be a whisper or a quiet word.

might be the thermostat stuck shut The radiator and cooling system could be low on coolant

No. But if the problem still exists you could start or try to start the engine and see if the code comes back.

Try it at 12 degrees BTDC. If there is no noticeable pinging, advance two degrees at a time until you notice pinging and then back off 2 degrees. With good fuel, you could get up to 16 degrees or so without problems.

Could have a head gasket problem. Need to know what color smoke is coming out of exhaust. If the smoke is white and has a sweet smell to it, you have a bad head gasket or a cracked head or both.

To protect them from the Astro-Turf that could scrape their arms up.

Probably no current to the starter motor. Could be the battery, the starter solenoid, or the ignition switch (the one your key goes in). Check out your connections. A competent mechanic could have the answer for you in a few minutes, with your Astro in front of him. Good luck.

You could use a number of words- 'guffaw', 'belly laugh', 'roar with laughter' and 'bellow with laughter' are just some.

I am sure that there is a van for sale either in or around your town. Being that it is a Astro van I am sure there are not a lot of them for sale but should be some either in your town or new it.

There is no limit to what the temperature could be; It can be zero degrees or it could be a hundred. However the average temperature is 58 degrees.

The 305 Chevy could not fire for several reasons. The crank sensor could be bad, the coil could have failed or there could be a loss of power to the ignition circuit.

4 degrees is a little low for most Chevy v8's. when you put it in drive, the rpm's go down and the timing pulls back a little more. could be more like 0-2 degrees when in gear. try working in a range from 8-16 btdc and see how it runs.
