Bad motor? Bad switch? Try swapping the wires on the switch to see if it will work
Why wouldn't it? There is NO difference between a 1999 and a 2000, as of right this second i have a 1999 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4 liter (what your looking at right now) and built it from ground up. I know plenty about cars.
yes it should bolt right up as well as the original motor and tranny
It is easy to replace the window regulator or window clips on the rear window of a 2000 Grand Am. The clips simply snap right onto the rails inside that door that connect to the window.
The 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash; right of steering column
It is right above the stereo console.
the thermostat is right under your throttle body and it is difficult to get to
windshield trim loose and Pontiac issued a bulletin for right side window trim.

All you have to do is pull out where the window is and it should start to pop off, then run your fingers down the side and the door panel should just pop right off.
