You have a short in the headlight circuit. Unlike the other electrical parts which use fuses, the headlight circuit uses an automatic resetting circuit breaker. This may be quite hard to track down as any wire in the circuit could be worn and grounding. If the car has ever been in an accident this is much more likely to occur. What I would do is a visual inspection to see if you can find any damaged wires. vbd

When i was trying to disable my DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) i pulled the fuse for them and my headlights and instrument lights were flashing intermittently. Check the fuse panel in the glove box and look for the DRL fuse. Check if its blown. Hope this helps!!!

There are several things that can cause your 2004 Chevy Trailblazer headlights to keep going out. The most common cause is a loose or corroded ground wire.
Faulty ground to the dash.
Have you checked the heater core? It's happened to me before.
Crack in intake or exhust, or belt glazing- Check all the intake and exhust bolts.
I had that same problem and ended up switching out the entire headlight dimming switch with one from a junkyard. Just pull the dash and disconnect it from the connector clip,and it worked for me.
