MAYBE YOUR SINCRONIZERS IN YOUR TRANNY ARE GOING BAD.. On my 2003 it was leaking slave cylinders on both side rear drum brakes. The brake fluid had leaked onto the pads, causing the groaning sound. Replaced both slave cylinders and pad and problem gone. This is after 3 times taking it to a suspension shop that blamed various rubber bushings, etc. Word of warning... take your original slave cylinder to the parts store with you... twice they gave me the wrong cylinders.
