a warped head or cracked head, a warped block, improper assembly, clogged radiator, cooling fan coming on to late or bad fan, sticking thermostat, air pocket in cooling system ,check water pump. Google your engine for head gasket failures, i need to know is it the same cylinder?the same breach mark on the gasket does the temp go up before the gasket failure. how often does it fail, are you prepping the surfaces before the gasket is replaced?are you using the tightening procedure for you specific engine? using a quality torque wrench. also a clogged catalytic converter will heat up the top end. i have also seen electrolysis destroy engine gaskets and parts this happens when the engine block, chassis or frame is not grounded properly and battery voltage will try to ground circuits through the coolant and it dissolves the gaskets zinc or tin materials. return some of my questions answered and i could be more of a help gd
A common cause of problems in cylinder head gaskets is leaks in the gasket. When a leak forms, the gasket must be replaced.
Yes, it sure can.
Yes
a leak in a head gasket could cause coolant to go into only one cylinder.
It can if the cylinder fills with coolant.
you betcha it will
Yes if a cylinder has filled with coolant otherwise, no.
A bad cylinder head gasket.
Oil !
Most of the times when you have low compression on one cylinder it's an indication that the head gasket is blown. If more than one cylinder has low compression and is hard to start the you most deffinatly have a blown head gasket
There is a strong possibility that you have either a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder head.
Blown Head Gasket or Bad Cylinder Head
