Has it always been like this or not? If it is, then it is not really a problem. It is how the stereo was installed. An stereo can be installed to be turned on whether the engine is on or off. If the stereo cannot be turned off at all, then you have a problem with your stereo.
You probably have a bad ignition switch where the accessory position is on all of the time. I am having the same problem on a '97 and will be replacing the switch as soon as I can figure out how to get to it.
Your problem could be in two locations F. Garay == ==
It could be a problem with the sensor or the clutch. Will need to go for diagnostic
When the dome light stays on in an slk320 one of several things could be causing it. A door switch could be bad, the manual light switch could be stuck, or the light relay could be stuck. Any of these could cause the problem.
Without the year, make or model of your vehicle it could be a bad compressor and or a bad compressor clutch.............
changed battery engine light stays on
the transmission is stuck in a fail safe mode, indicating there could be an internal problem.
Just spray some wd40 in all the latches. The sensors are in those latches. I had the same problem and it solved it for me

Well it means your battery is going to be discharged in short order. Most of the time the light stays on because you have it turned on. Make sure that is not the case. If it is in the off position and still stays on, then the door switch is probably defective. Common problem with the Jeep.
Your alternator is not working.
