Best Answer

The Prime Meridian is the line of longitude at 0 degrees located through Greenwich, England. It divides the globe into two hemispheres: East and West not North and South so for example Asia is in the Eastern Hemisphere and the Americas are on the Western Hemisphere. The Equator on the other hand is a line of latitude at zero degrees that divides the globe into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

England, France, and Spain are countries in the northern hemisphere that have the prime meridian passing through its border.
