In April 1975, it was strictly a North-South War; NVA vs ARVN (North Viet Army vs Army Republic (South) Vietnam).
The ARVN, what was left of it, surrendered to the NVA commander(s) 30 April 1975. Although it should be pointed out, that when the ARVN commander walked out to meet the NVA commander who had just smashed his T54 medium tanks thru the South Vietnamese Capital's Palace gates...and offered to surrender his forces, the NVA commander replied, "...General...you have no forces left to surrender!"

The United States helped South Vietnam fight the war.
Two separate countries: South Vietnam was officially called RVN (Republic of South Vietnam). When US servicemen landed in country, they were greeted with "Welcome to the Republic of South Vietnam" (enjoy your stay).

The countries that were actually "physically" involved, and were bombed or had US aircraft crash into them, whether they were "officially" in the war or not, were: Lao's, Cambodia, North Vietnam and South Vietnam.

Cambodia and Laos were both neutral. The only countries that interferred in the war was Russia, North and the USA, South. Laos and Cambodia were just onlookers. I did not list countries that rescued or gave aid to refugees
