They came from Germany. They changed there last name to a British one because of world war I. Britain is the Answer. But they came from Germany, as the House of Hannover, in the early 18th Century ... 200 years before! The name was changed from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (The name of Prince Albert) in 1916.
