Condition of the belt,
Hours or mileage on the belt,
The 1988 Mitsubishi 2.0 liter engine timing marks can be found on the front main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the outside of the pulley.
Both the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 engines use a timing BELT
For a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer ( 2.0 and 2.4 liter four cylinder engines ) ( timing CHAIN )
The Mitsubishi 2.4 liter engine timing marks can be found on the front of the main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the outside of the main pulley.
The 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer has only a 2.0 liter engine which has a cam belt that should be replaced every 60,000 miles. This is not an interference engine. The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse has a 2.4 which has a cam belt the MUST be replaced every 60,000 mile and it is an interference engine. I see nowhere that the Lancer was equipped with a 2.4 liter engine.
It has a timing belt.
I need to see a photo pitchure of the timing alighnment marks, for the crank and cam shaft alighnment for a 2001 Mitsubishi mirage 1.8 liter engine
The 1994 Mitsubishi 3.0 liter engine timing marks can be found on the front main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the outside of the front main pulley.
According to the owners manual the timing belt should be replaced at 90,000 miles (schedule A) for the 3.5 liter engine
It has a belt, not a chain...also has a balance shaft belt
Did you check to see how many PSI you have in each Cyl? do you have spark? is it getting fuel? Steve
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) both the 2.0 liter and the 2.4 liter four cylinder engines used in a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer are interference engines
