Western Europe is the most developed, economically, socially, and perhaps politically, region in the world. It is home to many powerful countries, some of the most powerful in the world, economically and military wise. It is also one of the most technologically advanced regions on Earth.

There are typically around 40-50 countries considered developed, based on economic indicators such as GDP per capita, HDI, and infrastructure. Some commonly recognized developed countries include the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Every Country, no matter how developed has poverty, poverty is a world wide issue, not just in less developed countries. its just that the poverty in less developed countries is talked about more than the poverty in more developed countries.

Developed is past tense which means that it has already occurred, whereas developing is present (continuous) tense and refers something happening currently.With regard to world economies, the distinction is that developed countries have a higher level of production and per capita income than countries defined as developing (less developed).
