Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879, and * entered the Zurich Polytechnic Institute (on his second try) at age 17. * graduated in 1900 at age 21 * published his first scientific paper (on capillary action) at 22. * published 4 papers in 1905, at age 26. the same year he received his PhD at the University of Zurich. * Became a full professor in Prague in 1911, at age 32. * Published his General Theory of Relativity in 1915, at the age of 36. * His 1905 theory on photons directly led to his winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 at the age of 42. * Became an American citizen in 1940 at the age of 61. * Died in 1955 at the age of 76.
