In my honest opinion I feel that Martin Luther King faced racism by looking at the situation in a different light. Yes, whites did not like blacks and yes there was a lot of violence, but I think he turned to God and with God's help he saw through the racism. He encouraged others to protest without violence and try to find a peaceful means to end the racism. He went to jail fighting for what he believed in. I think to be honest this is an opinion question to some like it is to me. This is how I see he faced racism.

Oprah did face racism because when she went to Swiss, a clerk of the store wouldn't show her a bag Oprah wanted to see. The clerk said it was too expensive for her to afford. [the clerk said blacks couldn't afford anything at all.]

He lived sort of in the hood but not in the hood. He lived around Whites and once he was playing with one of his White friends and then the White boy's mom came and said "Sorry, we don't hang around Negroes." That was really sad for Martin since that was his best friend. So he had to face racism.
Difficulty to convince his followers, the police, and that he could not use violence

Martin Luther King Jr. faced segregation when growing up. Martin tried to reach his peace among African Americans and "whites". He faced no doubt about what he was doing and people should thank him for what he did..........................YEAH
