Roger Sherman was a member of the Continental Congress, he helped draft the Constitution and the Articles of Confederation. He was also responsible for the Great Compromise (Connecticut Compromise). He had held positions in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government for Connecticut. He was also in charge of the New Haven committees of correspondence.
