The Debt we acquired during this time was due to a Democratically controlled Senate and Congress who attached everything under the sun to his legislation.

∙ 10y agoProbably the most questionable thing he got into was the Iran-Contra Affair. Laws were broken and low-level people were blamed. No one knew how much Reagan was involved , but he was the President and was likely "sleeping at the switch" or else trying to get around the law. (see the related links for more information)
