The Nazis burned bodies, beat them, starved them to death, put them in gas chambers that was used to hold a large number of people at one time, shot them, and worked them to death.
The greatest number of Jewish people killed during WWII were gassed to death in large structures that pumped carbon dioxide into the air-tight chambers( such as the ones that animal control uses nowdays) and re-assembled them as showers to trick the Jews into going in them.
(eventhough the Nazi's main target was the Jews there were others such as Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals, and the old and sick>he Nazi's thought of these people as the "impure" from the human race and to terminate the impure.)
European Jews
they were deported to Poland.
Professional historians call it the Holocaust.
Adolph Hitler, chancellor of the Third Reich (Germany's official name from 1933 to 1945), instituted a policy of genocide to make Europe judenrein, or free of Jews, in a process that eventually culminated in the systematic murder of millions (some estimate up to 9 million).
Hitler hated Jews because he believed they caused Germany to lose WW I and were responsible for the terrible economic crisis Germany was in when he took power.
The Nazis killed mainly Jews in the holocaust but also people who were 'feeble minded', 'crippled', and even POWs.
