The British antagonized them with many things. The biggest were taxes levied to help pay for the French and Indian War, and the Boston Massacre. The Boston Massacre occurred in Boston when drunken British officers were accused, put on trial, and found not guilty of killing colonist. Samuel Adams made this act sound bigger than it really was by calling it a Massacre and passing out handbills showing the event. The thing is that you have to remember is that EVERYONE was British, yet they felt disrespected by the King.
Because they had put taxes on items without them having representation
'NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION' .
The French and Indian war led to British becoming broke which equals taxation which equals Colonists not wanting to pay which leads to war which leads to American Revolution.

I hope this helps... 1.some colonists' defense of their own land, principles, and beliefs 2.additional support from France 3.strong leadership hope i helped you
You are asking about the Boston Massacre, but the event was propaganda for the colonists who were wanting to show a cause for leaving the British crown. Paul Revere drew a handbill to spin the event into something much more than it really was. Most history books today show the drawing when writing about it. Other events between colonists and troops happened in other places, but you don’t read about them. One reason is that Boston was the center of anti British activists.
The French and Indian War began because of the American colonists and the French colonists both wanting to move into the area west of the Appalachian Mtns. Since the colonists wanted to farm there and the French wanted to fur trap, they could not coexist in the same area. So pretty much, the French and their Native American allies fought against Britain, the American colonists, and their Native American allies.

The colonists felt British taxation was unfair. They were forced to pay taxes, but received basically nothing in return. Due to the colonists wanting something for their money, the phrase "taxation without representation" was coined. American colonists demanded representatives in England.

the british were then in charge of america and they were taxing them and making laws on them while the colonists had no representation, they went to war and america won 1775-1783

Well there is a lot of revolutions that colonists took part in. I can answer anything about the American Revolution. The reasons were 1. They were loyal to King George. 2. Economic reasons 3. They did not truly believe in the government that the was formed by the Americans was either legitimate, and would work/last in the long run. 4. Protection that the British government offered. 5. Believed that the 13 Colonies could work out any problems with Great Britain without using violence, and separating from the British Empire. 6. They wanted to stay British or remain members of the British Empire.
the revolutionary war was started because of the deal the british made with the native Americans (not to take their land ) the colonists wanted land so they fought back then the king made laws thus making the colonists wanting to become indepdent.
They lost large amounts of land...because the Indians lived in the Midwest near the Ohio river valley which after the American Revolution, we Americans took over that land so therefore, the Native Americans had to adapt to their new enviroment.One of the reasons the war broke out in the first place was because the colonists wanted to expand their territory westward. This was American Indian territory, and the British were allied to American Indian tribes. Not wanting to anger the Indian tribes into cancelling their alliance with the British, the redcoats refused to allow the colonists to steal the land from the American Indians. This is why so many American Indians fought on the British side when war broke out; they saw the British as a people who were defending their land from the colonists.They ended up with an even worse deal than previously.
the patriots vs the loyalists started because the revolutionary war was about to start, and was inevitable. This resulted in a split in the people, patriots wanting to secede from England, and the loyalists wanting America to stay with England
The fact is the colonies were British and as far as the government was concerned they had to help pay for the war that was fought to defend the colonies. People like Washington were British officers in the war and the government didn't see it as " taxation without representation ."
People wanting more land.
{| |- | They were referred to as Torys. Many of them moved to Canada in order to stay with the British Crown. Some stayed in the colonies believing that the British would win the war. |}
