No one really "won" and no one really "lost". Both the USSR and the US realized that they needed to improve communications and understanding after the missile crisis. In the Cold War, neither the US nor the USSR wanted to start a nuclear war, start a conventional war, or otherwise harm the other country. Rather, both countries had poor communication with each other and was suspicious of what the other side was doing. The USSR wasn't very happy that despite the fact they won the war in Europe in favour of the allies, they allies didn't trust them with nuclear weapons. Naturally, the USSR developed their own nuclear weapons. When the US heard of this, they began building more nuclear weapons, etc.
The US gained respect for standing up to the Soviets, but by removing the missiles from Cuba, the USSR was able to barter for the removal of the missiles from Turkey.
the USSR gained more because it broke the US monopoly without using aggressive tactics (such as invading Turkey) which is more than the US did.
Kennedy and Khrushchev both benefitted from the situation.
Kennedy now had an increase in reputation and had boosted morale throughout America. He had also kept the missiles in Turkey a secret, meaning he did not loose any influence.
Khrushchev brought the claim that he had created World peace, he was the one who suggested compromises and had protected a smaller communist country.
However, Kennedy was forced to allow communism to grow in Central America, right on their doorstep. They also did not have anymore weapons/threats in close range to the Soviet Union.
Furthermore, Khrushchev was forced to step down from his role two years after the Crisis because his party thought he was reckless and dangerous.
It would appear that Castro actually seemed to benefit the most because he didn't loose anything. He had built his status and now had immunity from America. The Soviet Union was a close ally and they were allowed to build Communism in peace.
