What did you do wrong when you rebuilt a 1995 Saturn transmission because reverse stopped working but after putting it back the wheels turn forward when in reverse?

What you did wrong was doing it yourself. Not trying to be harsh, but take your trans to a local professional. If you insist on fixing it, get a Saturn service manual.

you put a gear in the wrong spot, the tranny is not like a lot of other DIY projects, things dont fit together one way and if you do it wrong it simply wont work, trannys fit together many ways and most ways will still rotate but no do what it is supposed to
you can take it apart again and go over it repeatedly till your 100% shore you got it, or take it to the pros....i do all the work on my 4 cars except the tranny's i can work on them, its just not worth it if you mess up much like yourself
