The thing that I find most interesting about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church is the diversity among church members. Many outside the church imagine a stereotypical Mormon family, but in reality the church is filled with all sorts of people - rich and poor from all races, nationalities, and cultures. Single, married, big families, small families, liberal, conservative, young, old, the list goes on. Not only is the membership of the church demographically diverse, Mormonism allows for a diversity of belief and practice as well. Because most Mormon doctrines and practices are up to the personal revelation and interpretation of each individual, each Mormon practices their faith a little differently. I know liberal 'hippy' Mormons and staunchly conservative Mormons, Mormons who incorporate the practices of Buddhism or Judaism, and Mormons who more closely resemble Evangelicals or even Amish. There are rock-star Mormons with tattoos, Mormons who drink beer and smoke marijuana, and Mormons who would never even think of doing such things. I know gay Mormons, straight Mormons, Mormons with 14 kids and Mormons who don't want any kids. Each of these individuals bases their lifestyle on the same religious principles and the same canon of scripture, although their personal interpretations vary widely. As you can imagine, their doctrinal beliefs cover the spectrum as well.

Of course! Dentists don't generally advertise their religion though, it is just something you'll find out by talking to them. You are most likely to find a dentist that is not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church) closer to the downtown Salt Lake City area.

Do Mormon businesses support the Mormon community?

Businesses owned by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) financially support the owners and their families. Most Mormons choose to pay a tithe to the Church, which is 10% of their income. In that way, some profits of Mormon-owned businesses support the Church. Check out the "related links" below for examples of Mormon-owned businesses that cater to the Mormon community. Is Mormon church the richest in the world?

Certainly not. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is quite wealthy for the relatively small number of members that they have (about 14 million worldwide), and for the relatively short time that they have been around (about 180 years) however they are nowhere near the richest church or religious group in the world. Does the Mormon church financial support the sister wives?

Most definitely not. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) banned polygamy over 100 years ago. The Church does not provide financial support to any sister-wife. The Church will provide in-kind help (food, clothing, emergency supplies, job training, etc) to people outside of their faith who apply for assistance. If you are speaking of the Sister Wives tv show, no. The Browns of the tv show are not members of the Mormon Church. Both Kody and Janelle left the Mormon Church to join the Apostolic United Brethren. Their church may provide financial support, but the Mormon church does not.
