there was actually quite a few diseases in the 16th century,

many of the diseases back then are still diseases right now,

but now we are more aware of what they are and can treat them,

they had Breast cancer, small pox, chicken pox,

i dont know what sort of types but i do know they had cancer.

if there is any diseases you want to know about in the 16th century type into Google,

did they have (enter disease) in the 16th century?

cholera and the plaque.either way you were dead -black death(ie the plaque) killed 25-50% of the people in Europe cholera(disease in the water) killing a samller portion of about 5%

In the 1590's, the Black Plague was a commonly known historical disease. This was the time around Shakespeare's Time line also called Elizibethian

Era. It killed 1,000 per week.
