We don't eat anything particularly special. We have biscuits (in America they'd be called cookies) (see related link for pictures) and we have crisps (I think you call them chips in America). Chips for us are what Americans call 'fries'. You've probably heard of fish 'n' chips, which is a famous British dish. Basically, we have these places called fish 'n' chip shops and they sell fish (generally cod) which is coated in batter and served with thick chips (not thin ones) and are generally eaten with salt and vinegar on them. We have chocolate bars - most famously Cadbury's chocolate. We have sweets, which I think in America are often called gummies? Haribo sweets are quite popular. They are gummy/jelly sweets and there are various different packets of them. Of course, we have our fruit and vegetables too. People quite like apples and potatoes! (Not together) Strawberries are popular in the summer and are often eaten with cream. People often make pies and crumbles with fruit. Crumble is fruit with a topping of butter and flour which turns into a breadcrumb-like mixture. It is then placed in the oven for a while so it is hot and the crumbs turn golden. People are quite into curry and pizza etc. Fast food is popular here. For fast food restaurants, we have McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Wimpy. People drink tea and coffee quite a lot. In winter people often drink Hot Chocolate. One major drink we have that lots of other countries don't is 'squash'. Squash is very sweet and strong, sticky fruit juice that you add water too and then it is a light, fruity drink. Mainly children drink squash, but many adults do too. People are quite into Italian foods, like lasagne, spaghetti bolognese and caneloni. The two main take-away cuisines are Indian and Chinese We buy our milk cold, or order it from the milk man who delivers it to the door step each morning. People don't tend to buy it in long-life cartons, but some do. Bread can be bought quite processed to last longer, or fresh. Sandwiches are quite popular here and most people eat them for lunch. People who aren't used to British bread often complain that it is disgusting and tastes like rubber or plastic. I have to agree - I can't stand the processed bread. I like the fresher bread though, but only in small amounts! People tend to have cheese or ham or lettuce or tomatoes or jam in their sandwiches. Before putting the filling in, people usually spread margarine, which is like butter. Ham for us comes in thin slices in a packet that is kept in the fridge. Baked or jacket potatoes are something that people often eat, often with cheese or baked beans, or coleslaw, or tuna mayonnaise or prawn mayonnaise. In the morning, people generally either eat toast, cereals or fruit for breakfast. Cereal bars are also popular, where cereals are packed into a rectangular bar and can be eaten on the go. Marmalade is quite a famous thing. It is the same texture as jam, but is made from oranges. I don't like it, personally. Honey is also popular, in sandwiches or on toast. Crumpets and scones are also popular. I couldn't think of a description for either of them, but have provided a related link to a description. Scones are usually eaten with clotted cream and jam. Crumpets are usually eaten with butter. Roast dinner is also very popular!! It is traditionally eaten on a Sunday and consists of a roast meat (most commonly chicken, beef, pork or lamb) with boiled vegetables and roasted potatoes. It is often accompanied by gravy. Chicken is sometimes eaten with cranberry sauce, beef with horseradish sauce, pork with apple sauce and lamb with mint sauce. Yorkshire pudding is often eaten with beef. I couldn't think of a description for them either, but have provided a related link. In the summer, people often have BBQ's with burgers and hot dogs. We usually eat our burgers and hot dogs with tomato sauce. We like cake and doughnuts too. Carrot cake, chocolate cake and coffee cake are popular. We tend to stick to whole doughnuts (no hole in the middle) with a raspberry or strawberry jam filling Toad in the hole is a popular dish. See the related link for a description. Mashed potato is quite popular and is eaten with many things.
They eat just normal food at a formal bar after the service
It depends what day it is. If it's a Sunday then it will probably be a Roast dinner. The other days are just fairly normal food eating days :)

People wear arm bands at funerals to show respect for a particular cause. This can be one that the deceased fell victim to or one they strongly supported.
