You should ask him why he won't leave her. If it's for the sake of his children then I'd respect that answer or is it because he loves this some else too. Either way it's time for you to move on and find someone who loves you and wants to be with you.

First of all this man that you love is married and have two kids. Even his having an affair with you and told says he loves you but his wife didn't know about it, what makes you think that he will leave his wife and kids if his life is comfortable having his family and mistress. Did he ever told you that he is tired of his wife and kids that is why his having relationship with you. Married men who's having an affair and the wives didn't know about it, no way that they will leave their safety at home. But if the affair is been discovered, what do you think might happen, move out and run to you?
Gosh no because his life will be in so much mess that everything he built and own will be gone. If I were you, I will not believe to everything his telling you. Unless he show you his divorce papers and give you a ring asking to marry you, the chance that you have with him will be very slim.
