If their hatchlings or juveniles, their strategy is to run like HECK. If they are adults, they will flatten out their bodies, lift their head and neck up s few inches with their front toes, gape their mouth, hiss, puff out their little "beard" and the males will turn them jet black. If you have a cat and a beardie, then this might happen when the cat is at the edge of the glass. This will send the beardie OVER THE EDGE!!!
