Guppies give birth once a month, with a highest amount of fry at 70 depending on the the health and age/ size of the female. They are a freshwater and brackish water fish. Guppies need a ph level of 7 to 8. There needs to be a larger number of females than males, otherwise the males will fight over them. They will eat their own fry.
