Most important is fever, if there´s no fever it´s not the flu. Other symptoms can be : muscular aches, breathing difficulties, throat pain, headache. From what I´ve heard if there are 3 or more of these symptoms there´s a high probabilty of Swine Flu, but there MUST be fever present.
Swine flu is a strain of one of the Type A influenza viruses in the subtype of H1N1. When you have it, you have a viral infection in your lungs and respiratory system which is known as the flu (influenza). You can get symptoms with it that are as mild as a common cold or you can get very severe complications, like pneumonia, and need hospital care. H1N1/09 Swine Flu is slightly less severe in its current state than are the regular seasonal flu strains. This has been good news since it was rapidly spreading and quickly became a pandemic. It is easily spread person to person and epidemiologists are continuing to monitor it closely. Hopefully it will not have any further waves of spread, and we will see it die out as the flu season in the Northern Hemisphere comes to a close.

Hi,
The effects from swine flu can vary but are generally very similar to that of the regular flu. Fever, chills, sore throat, coughing, and a plethora of other flu-like symptoms can be the result of swine flu. If not treated promptly, swine flu MAY cause serious bodily harm, including death.
Originally there was fear and panic because there were so many unknown factors with a brand new virus. Eventually it became clear that it had a lower mortality rate than other influenza strains, and then, once a vaccine was developed, the fears and paranoia reduced significantly.
Most people who are not vaccinated against the swine flu or who have not had the swine flu will get it if exposed to it. Those who have had the vaccines will be immune.
yes iv heard of at least 3 people with swine flu

No, Swine Flu is just one strain of the many flu viruses. Flu is an abbreviation for influenza. So Swine Flu is a type of flu, but all flu is not the swine flu, there are other kinds.
To survive what? Getting the swine flu? No, you do not have to be immunized to survive. Most people will survive getting the flu, but older people and really young people are at risk of dying.
"The shot" is a vaccine for the swine flu. If you get the vaccine, then, in theory, you don't get the swine flu. If you didn't get it, then you didn't "survive" it, because "surviving" it means that you got the disease but didn't die from it. So, zero is the answer. On the other hand, the swine flu is no more deadly than the common flu, so the vast majority of the people who got the swine flu survived it.
The Swine Flu is similar to the regular seasonal flu, many adults and children have died from it around the world, but the majority recover. Unlike the seasonal flu, however, less elderly people have been killed by the A-H1N1/09 swine flu than the regular seasonal flu. People over 65 are much less at risk from the swine flu than seasonal flu.
