Well I was grown up in a family who believed in spanking and I approve of it. Children need to be taught a lesson if they keep misbehaving and it also shows how superior you are to them. If you try to be soft on your children when they are misbehaving then they will fill they are superior to the parent. Kids have to much energy in them and sometimes they spend it on acting up. Now don't go over bored like my mother did. Don't try to threaten or taunt your kids much or they will become to afraid of you. You want your kids to be afraid of you but to a extent. If you teach your kids manners the 99.9% of the time they will stay that way when they are older. I hoped this helped. :)

My cousin was spanked when she was a little girl, it knocked the breath out of her and had to be rushed to the ER.

I don't think that is a really great idea to spank your children at all...... I mean it's not there fault that they see YOU or other people do stuff then they think it's okay to do it...... Most 4-year-olds don't listen, but a spanking will not only deliver the message, but also cause a subconscious association of inappropriate actions with pain and disapproval. Clearly, spanking should not be overused, but sometimes is necessary.
