You can be kind without being cruel. Honesty is the best policy and unless you form the words 'Thank you for that, but I'm sorry I don't feel the same way about you.' Yes, the person will be hurt and feel dejected, but you'll do more damage by ignoring the situation. Be honest about your feelings with everyone. You aren't being unkind and unfortunately we can all love someone that doesn't love us back or it's the other way around.

∙ 13y agoTell him/her you are VERY flattered, and one day it could be possible for you to feel that same way as well. Let them know, that in order for you to know that you're in love it will take time. Tell him/her that you want the word love to reallymean something between you and him/her, and if you have that time you will be able to become certain that the word 'love' will really mean something in your relationship.
