you're in trouble man. You're in whats called the "friend zone". She sees you as one of her best friends but nothing more. She can't even begin to imagine you as her boyfriend. If you're in love with her you're pretty much screwed. I would just give up and start searching for another girl. It is nearly impossible to get out of the friend zone. The only way is to get her to hate you and even then she'll forgive you after that. Face it man, that relationship is going nowhere.

Depends on the situation! If she makes you miserable, because for example, she thinks she can still control you and you keep arguing then there really isn't a way for you to be friends with her unless she changes. If she is really fun and treats you like a friend, with qualities of trust, honesty, unselfishness etc etc, then you know she is a good friend and yes you should still be friends with linzie. Also if you see her as more than a friend then being friends is tricky. It is your call.

Personally I believe in an idea once expressed by Shakespeare, "to thine own self be true". Since you love someone, that is the person for you. You cannot sacrifice your own love for the sake of not hurting someone else who has treated you well. You will just have to tell this very nice person who treats you well that the two of you do not have a future together as anything more than friends, since you love someone else, however, you certainly can still be friends. If this person will feel hurt by this decision, that is unfortunate but it is the best you can do.
