move evrything out of there way so they can not hurt them self losrn any cloththes they are wearing .NEVER stick a finger or anything in there mouth.tilt the there head to the side to let anything come out of the mouth .DO NOT hold the person down .just let it pass

Well if "you" are having a grand mal seizure there isn't much "you" can do since "you" are having the seizure and will most likely require help from others. However if someone near you is having a seizure I would advise the web site linked below as a guide on what to do.

First thing you want to do is stay calm. Remove anything away from the patient that can injure them. Loosen or remove any clothing that can choke them. Monitor how long the seizures last. Turn the patient gently to one side after the seizure to reduce the chance of choking.
