If it is a factory radio, you can get the factory removing keys from Canadian Tire or other like store. If it is an aftermarket stereo it may have locks on the left and right sides that hold the "deck" in. To bypass these locks without the proper keys, all you have to do is remove the faceplate (assuming it has one)and get two hacksaw blades and insert one in between the stereo and the thin metal sleeve that surrounds it on the left dead center and the other on the right dead center, and push in until you have gone in at least five inches. If you hit the locks properly, you should now be able to pull the stereo out of the sleeve that surrounds it. The key is to be patient and don't get upset if you don't get it right away. Once you get it once you will always be able to get it in a try or two, but without ever doing it before it may take several tries to get it right.
