Elementary school - what grade? The answer might be different in say, 1st grade versus 6th grade... in general I'd say talk to the school and see what they plan to do to make the school safer. Also, talk to your kid and see what your kid wants to do - keeping in mid that "stay out of it" is not an acceptable answer. Go talk to your kid's teachers and see what they say, if your kid is doing well otherwise and if there's anything they can do, if they know what it was all about.
