What do you do when your best friend hates the person you like and that person likes you back?

You should think what would be like if you two went out. If you think it's going to be uncomfortable or weird, it is best to stay as friends.
One of my friend liked her best friend, and they were very close and even I thought they will make loving couple. After they got together, things went complicated, and they seemed to have many arguments. He later broke up with her, but when they started talking again, they became close friends as before. They have more fun being close friends then boyfriend girlfriend.
What I'm trying to say is that going out with someone is not always the right choice.
Tell your friend that you love them if you really do!
and see how he/she reacts to it. ;D

∙ 13y agoI probably make the first move.but right after the big question.just ask him or her if it would affect the friendship.Sotake the first move,there shpould be no problem.If so sorry you lost a friend.
It kinda deppends on the friend and how they would react.Also if you have been friends for a while and the has been some times where you really like the friend just go for it.or be a chicken because you would rather have a friend then a good friend.GOOD LUCK.You will need it.
I'm in the same situaltion... i know what you mean. HOnestly, you need to talk to your best friend about how much he likes your other best friend a lot. then, if you really love him, oyu need to give him space and make sure you're always there for him. If you love him, you will wait as lonmg as it takes

i would talk to your best friend and try to ask them if they wouldn't mind trying to be a little bit nicer, and tell them to keep their mind open.

∙ 11y agoBalance it out. Who do you like more, your girlfriend or your best friend? If you see that you have more values in your best friend then you should take the chance and see if it will work, she might or might not reject you. If you see more in your girlfriend than your best friend, then you should stick with her. Love can be a very painful thing to handle, but it'll be even worse to be stuck in a love triangle.
If you think it's time to let your girlfriend go, let her down gently and ask to still be friends. Say that you see that you still love her, but you just don't see her that way. She will understand in time and will be more likely to handle it instead of dumping her completely. Understand that love while you're young is still going to be rocky, not all relationships will work out and some will end with no apparent reason. Just remember to trust your heart, and only do what you believe is the best for you. Never try to be someone your not or act like something your not, always be yourself and do what you trust.

∙ 12y agoI've been there, don't worry bout it. There are times when someone doesn't love you back, but they will change their mind if the person just is themself. If relationship is really deep, and the person is facing you no, depression or something, please ask if they are ok and seek medical help. Otherwise, always be there for him and don't let that girl get him down. xx
