Feeding hamsters is rather simple, at your local pet store, you can buy high-protein food for them or at home you can feed them 'treats' such as fruit and vegtable. I find my hamster enjoys popcorn, but some of these vegtables help their immune system;
Hope I helped you & your hamster!! (:

Hamsters can eat a variety of seeds, nuts and peelllets!!! Also apples, carrots, grapes and strawberries are big favourites with Alfie my hamster. Try buying a hamster seed,nut and pelet mix in there cage and when you get your hamster out feed them a bit of fruit and if you can treats don't go a mix. Be careful when you feed your hamster because they may want to lick or bite your fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feed them sunflower seeds banana chips and fruity knaw sticks and other tasty treats
Dependent on age, green vegetables and proper Hamster food from pet shops.
a little portion of hamster food you get at pet stores
You can just go in the pet-shop and ask for hamster food or you can look it up.
A mother hamster has multiple teats on her underbelly. The baby hamsters will latch on to these teats and feed on the mother's milk. After a few weeks the babies will start to eat regular hamster food.
no
Put whatever you're feeding to the baby hamster in an eye dropper or medicine dropper. Don't touch your baby hamster until they are three weeks. The mom will probably do the feeding, though.
Yes they do. A mother hamster usually feeds the puppies for two weeks after they are born.
A baby dwarf can be feed with warm milk after birth. My advice is that you should let the mother feed the baby hamster as the hamster is blind & you can't touch. If it does not have a mother feed it fresh milk without touching it.
no because you should not because different hamsters breast feed
you can buy specialist food online or mashed carrots
They nurse from the mommy until its time for them to eat big hamster food.
if you over feed a hamster give him lots of excise
Sadly yes, this usually happens when there is a runt, or if the mother doesn't have enough milk to feed them all.
A baby hamster needs to feed from the mother, it is unable to get sustenance any other way. This usually last for up to three to four weeks.
Yes, you should. Unless you want your cage to be smelt of death. I left my dead baby hamster for a a few hours to allow the mother and her other babies to feed on the dead baby --- this gives proteins, nutrients and energy to the Mama hamster and keeps her healthy and nourished so that she can feed her babies with enough milk. After that, I removed the dead baby hamster. If you can not tolerate the gruesomeness of it, I suggest you remove it before the guts spill. But, it's good to give the mother more nutrients. (: Hope this helps!
