∙ 11y agoThere are many different possibilities, depending on what you want to bring, what you need to bring, and what you are allowed to bring. Nonetheless, the following would probably be essential:
- Sufficient oxygen to last you the entire trip (and extra oxygen, just in case)
- Food
- Water
- A heater (so that you can keep warm)
- A space suit - to protect you from radiation, to maintain pressure, and to provide you with oxygen)
- Fuel (so that you can get there and back)
- A camera (because it is necessary that you take pictures of your trip)
- All the tools and equipment that you will need for the trip, and to prepare you for any issues that may occur during your travel.
- Communication equipment (so that you can speak to those at ground control, or to simply call home and say, "this is sooooo coool! But... I just realized that there aren't any Slurpees on this spaceship and there aren't any 7-Elevens on the moon, so that is a bit disheartening...").
- Your cat (because she would want to experience zero gravity and see the Earth "set" too).
** This is assuming that you already have a spaceship to get you there and back, and that it already contains some kind of waste disposal system. If it doesn't, then I guess you would have to leave your poor little cat at home so that you can choose this as your tenth item.
