What do you need to change a non-turbo 5 spd manual Toyota supra to a 6 speed manual twin turbo supra anything under the car needs to be changed or the 5 spd manual tran is the same size as the 6spd?

Not worth changing to a 6-gear manual, an entire new engine would be needed. As for turboing a non turbo supra that part is also annoying, as the internals for a non turbo and turbo supra is different. You would have to buy a conversion kit which will set u back like 5k

You need a 6 speed manual twin turbo Toyota Supra that's been hit in the back. The conversion is straightforward but time-consuming: park the donor car next to yours and transfer everything under the hood of the donor to your car. Also make sure to change the computer, which is in the passenger compartment. I just did this swap. Although it is time consuming, you don't need a new engine like these people said. You need: Trans, driveshafts, rear differential, left axle, computer, clutch pedal, and the computer is optional, but reccomended. You'll also need a new center console. Toyota makes everything required, but it all comes factory Japan, so it will take about 2 months to get everything. I bought almost everything from Ebay or Craigslist. It took a while, but if you look online you'll see others who have done it and it's a much more fun driving car and well worth the time and money. The answer right above this one indicates the guy has a non-turbo engine in his car, and the questioner wanted the twin-turbo engine. They are not the same inside--if you want the twin turbo engine you are best off swapping the whole engine instead of trying to hunt down a Supra twin turbo setup and grafting it onto a non-turbo engine.) My setup is in fact a 2jz-gte engine factory automatic that I swapped to the factory 6 speed v160. The engine is the same, except for the throw out bearing and the pilot bearing for the transmission to mate to the engine. All of the sensors are the same or not needed on the TT 6 speed version.
