If your friend is mad at you for a legitimate reason, than you must apologize, sincerely, but don't say it over and over again. Then all you can really do is wait. If they don't accept, talk to them, write a note to them, saying why you are sorry and why you want them to forgive you, you are only human after all.
Whatever you do, don't talk about them with other people, and don't talk about your problems with other people besides that person.
