tell him he has to figure out his decision on his own.. because he is a grown man and he cant come running to mama about every little thing that goes wrong in his life.. hope i helped answer it.

First thing first, comfort your son and let him know that you will stand beside him. Then just let him talk, listening is the best medicine that you can give him. If he needs to cry, let him, man do cry and there's no such things as he can't cry because it will make him feel weak. If he wants you to be part of his problem be part of his problem but don't tell him what to do or what to think. Get all the information that you need before you talk to your daughter in law. Us being a parents will do everything to protect our kids no matter what it takes but sometimes we need to see them hurt for them to learn that life is not a walk in the park. Ask your son what happened to both of them. Make sure that you hear what his wife needs to say, then let those two talk to you face to face. This is what life is all about, we must face what's happening to us either good or bad.
And after all the problem is said, try not to protect your son or even believe to everything he said, do the same towards your daughter in law. Remember you as a mother will depend your own son, but don't forget your daughter in law might also telling what hurt her the most why she end up with another man. Then for us mother to be the stronger person that our kids knew, step back and let them work on what ever problem they are having. And hope to God they will solve to what ever started it..Good luck..
