If nothing. If they like the guy, than they like em. They might be a little 2 old for them, but i know people who are married, who r 9 years apart. and some little girls like grown up movie stars.

i understand this whole situation because i feel the same way.... first you have to decide if you actually love/like him or you just have a little puppy crush. if you love him, then that means that you don't want to go out with anyone else. i dont think you should tell your brother how you feel because chances are, he's going to tell is friend.. what i think you should do is wait until you both are at the age group where its not a big deal. for example a seventh grader dating a freshman or eighth grader dating a sophmore is way different than a freshman dating a junior or a sophmore dating a senior. also, does he show any possible intrest in you? think it over and see what u wanna do about it. good luck :)
