The space is called the address bar.
You type the address into a browser's address bar.
Menu Bar is where you can change browser settings like font, page etc. Address bar is where you can type a web address.

You can just type what you are looking for in the address bar and it will then link you to pages that are similar to what you typed in the address bar
After you type in the address, you hit the ENTER key.
