What is confidentality?
Confidential refers to information that is extremely private and personal. Some examples of confidential information includes health records, financial information, or extremely sensitive information within a company.
In a confidentality agreement who can get information?
If it is a confidentiality agreeement between two individuals or between an employee and a business, only the persons party to the agreement can give and receive information from one another. If either party disclosed it to anyone else, they can be sued in civil court by the aggrieved party.

If you had paid any fees, he is under the lawyer-client rule. He can not represent your spouse because of conflict of interest. That's why it is bad; great question and great issue for lawyers, but it was really badly asked.
