that depends if customer service representatives is in a VA or NVA account.

For VA

A CSR is basically handling, answering telephone calls to inform, update and answer customers or subscribers concerns, querries and complaints relative to the type of account they are into during the entire log in shift. Mostly CSR's worked in a graveyard shift does sitting all the time with alloted scheduled breaks wherein some are smoking to release stress, drinking coffee to stay awake and others taking a nap for rest.

For NVA

The CSR is still experiencing and doing the same things as voice account but their task differs. A non VA CSR does the transcribing of incoming messages received from the subscribers or customers and should have an excellent typing skills, comprehension skills and should be very keen to details since messages received are sent back to the customers. Non VA CSR's also takes smoking and coffee breaks as their stress free moment but most it opted to take a nap since most of all if not all are too sleepy having difficult time adjusting to graveyard shift.

In all cases anybody who wishes to work in a call center should have patience, should enjoy working and should know how to balance his/her life/lifestyle to keep it normal.
