∙ 11y agoLobbyists rally and try to influence or change a decision made by a higher authority such as the government. In law, people lobby to influence a decision to their likings, in a sense twisting the law to the way they want it to b and are willing to fight for it.

In most jurisdictions the lobbyists are regulated by statutes, but at the federal level they can only act according to the provisions of the Lobbying Regulation Acts.(wink,wink)
