Explain step by step how to put in the blower resitor?

Remove the electrical connector from the old resistor. Remove the screws holding the resistor in place. Remove the old resistor. Put in the new one and screw in the screws. Attach the electrical connector.

How do you replace the blower motor resistor cavalier 97?

Tools required: 6mm socket/ratchet 7mm socket/ratchet Socket U-joint with extension Step 1: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolts (3) that hold the protective panel in place beneath the glove compartment. Remove this panel. Step 2: Disconnect the blower motor resistor's wiring harness (1). Step 3: Loosen and remove the 6mm bolts (2) that secure the resistor to the component. You will need to use the U-joint and an extension to reach the bolt. Step 4: Mount the resistor to the component by tightening the 6mm bolts (2). Step 5: Connect the resistor's wiring harness (1). Step 6: Tighten the 7mm bolts (3) that secure the protective panel to the underside of the glove compartment. These Part Change / Installation Instructions Apply to 05 2005, 04 2004, 03 2003, 02 2002, 01 2001, 00 2000, 99 1999, 98 1998, 97 1997, 96 1996, 95 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire Blower Motor Resistor Replacement Instructions

How do you change the blower motor resistor block on your 2002 jeep tj wrangler?

Hey everyone! I had the same problem with my heat being stuck on high. I changed out my blower motor resistor and took pictures. I created a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this fix yourself. It's very easy and costs about $9.50. Here is a link: http://bvensko.blogspot.com/

How do you replace a blower resistor on a 1998 Chevy cavalier?

This is a pretty simple fix. The GM part number for the Resistor is 52476725. Fits I believe 96-02 Chevrolet Cavaliers and Sunfire. Step 1: locate the blower motor under the dash on the passenger side. Step 2: To get to the resistor you need to remove the (3) screws holing up the blower. Remove the screws. The blower will come down. Remove the electrical connector, and slide the blower out of the way. Clear out any debris that may be in it. Step 3: The resistor is held up by (2) screws, (1) is easy to get to, the other is a bit tricky as you have to press back the rubber matting along the back firewall to get at it. Its a bit of a pain, but use a 1/2 in ratchet with an extension and you can get to it. Undo the screws, slide out the resistor. Pop it of, put the new one in. Step 4: Reverse the above and your done. Its about a 20 minute job if you don't know what your doing. Good Luck.

The low speed and second speed blowers doesn't work for the blower motor?

the reason blower does not work on all speeds, is the fan blower motor resistor. The resistor is a 4-5 step series circuit, 1 resistor is added for each reduction in speed. If one burns out then so will all speeds below it. The "high" circuit usually has a separate fuse and bypasses the resistor altogether.

What size resistor to change 12 volts to 3 volts for a led?

Assuming that you're talking about 12V DC you would use a 4 ohm resistor. If you mean AC then you would need a step-down transformer with a 4:1 ratio.

Is Light dependent resistor an example of resistor?

yes, a variable resistor

Step in measuring resistance of a resitor?

count up the value of the resistor using the colour bands along with resistor code chart(or it may on the resistor eg. 10kohms, follow this by hooking up an ohm meter(you will have to select ohms, kilo-ohms, mega-ohms whichever applies) , your resistance should appear within the acceptable variable guidelines.. usually 5 to 10 percent(last band or on the resistor itself) count up the value of the resistor using the colour bands along with resistor code chart(or it may on the resistor eg. 10kohms, follow this by hooking up an ohm meter(you will have to select ohms, kilo-ohms, mega-ohms whichever applies) , your resistance should appear within the acceptable variable guidelines.. usually 5 to 10 percent(last band or on the resistor itself)

Who invented the resistor?

Otis F. Boykin invented the wire precision resistor and the electrical resistor.

What are resistor values defined by?

Resistor value is defined by the Resistance the resistor offers in Kilo ohms/ohms value given by color codes on the resistor.

Describe the purpose of the coloured bands on a resistor?

The purpose of colored bands on a resistor is to tell whoever is installing the resistor the amount of resistance that particuliar resistor has.

What is the function of a cement resistor?

A cement resistor is typically used as a power resistor (a resistor whose power rating is greater than 1 W).
