if the pea plant has 2 recessive alleles then the plant is gonna come out short.but if it has 1 recessive and one dominant allele then the plant turns out tall, because the dominant allele can be present without the recessive allele.
Hello there, Dominant and recessive traits can be tested by reproduction. For example, if I was to grow a tall pea plant and a short pea plant that are true breeds, and if I was to cross pollinate them to form a hybrid pea plant, the new pea plant offspring would exhibit the dominant trait out of tall and short (In this case tall). When reproduction occurs, two alleles for a given gene will be introduced, and only the dominant trait will be used and exhibited by the offspring. That way, if we want to determine whether a trait is dominant, we will need to test through reproduction. Hope this helps!
When Gregor Mindel crossed homozygous tall plants with homozygous short plants,he got hetrozygous tall plants. Tall plants will dominate any small pea plants in the same area. The traits for tall were dominant over short traits. Perhaps both alleles can code for protein, but the dominant product is expressed in the phenotype.
In pea plants, individuals that are Pp for the alleles that code for flower color will have purple flowers. What is the phenotype?
Two alleles for tall stems.
For example, if the tall plant stand for T, the genotypes are: TT tt
It is 1/4.

It is 1/4.
The dominant trait for height in a pea plant is tall (TT or Tt). The only instance in which a pea plant will be short is if it carries both recessive alleles (tt).
No, the short pea trait is recessive and the tall pea plant trait is dominant. This means that if the plant is a hybrid, it has to be a tall pea plant. The dominant traits "mask" the recessive traits. The plant take one trait from their mom and one from their dad. If either the mom or the dad was not a tall, not hybrid pea plant then their kids would have to be tall be cause they would have one dominant, tall trait

Gregor Mendel called them factors, or traits.
yea for sizzle

Tt :)
