The idle is control by the idle air control motor from outputs from the Engine Control Module.
Owners manual, positive.
Usually found behind/under the glove box or behind the kick panel.
No it is not even close.
bad spark module(s),but likely engine control module
passenger under dash or high in dash by pass front speaker
The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) controls the fuel mixture with information it receives from various sensors.
The idle is adjusted by way of the Idle Air Control motor as directed from the Engine Control Module. The idle is computer controlled. I changeTHE IAC motor for a new one ,still there is a bit of a rough Idle, what can be the trouble
put a higher voltage ingition module on it
Oxygen sensors, MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor, ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor, TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) all these and more send information to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) to control the fuel mixture.
Yes it will fit right in there with no problems. will not have to alter any body parts are fire wall. But you will need the PCM. / Power train control module / computer and engine wiring harness. You will also have to change the electric fuel pump in the gas tank to one that is for the vortec engine. You would be less trouble to just put the 350 TBI / throttle body injection engine back in it.
The vortec has bigger pistons
