Means that that person applying for employment is from a protected group that has historically been numerically underrepresented in that specific institution, organization, or profession. These may include persons who are members of certain race/ethnic, gender, and/or ability status (disabled) groups. These are racial/ethnic "minority" groups, women, persons with disabilities, and in some instances men, such as when applying for a position in which males have traditionally been underrepresented. The latter include professions such as K-12 teaching, nursing, etc. which have been positions held historically and predominantly by women. Of course, the "other side of the coin" of this are those professions in which women have traditionally not been represented such as higher education (college and university) teaching where historically most professors have been men.
"Diversity candidate" is a meaningless term. Only GROUPS, not individuals, have measurable degrees of non-uniformity on specified factors, that is, diversity. No single candidate can contribnute to the skill, experience, tenure, licensure, or educational diversity of a workforce. Whether a candidate might add to a workforces appearance diversity (race or sex) is legally and practically irrelevant. Employers subject to EEO law can never give race or sex any weight.
Just remember that a WHITE candidate would increase the race diversity of an all-Black or all-Asian workforce. That does not make Whites diversity candidates. And the White candidate's race, like the Black or Asian candidates race, is given zero consideration.
a candidate is a person seeking or being considered for a type of specific position
First, it depends on what the reason was for being fired. Secondly, if retired, you would not be actively seeking full employment, a requirement for eligibility to get benefits.
A candidate is another word for a college student who is enrolled in either a undergraduate or graduate program with the intent to finish and earn a degree in a specific field of study. In other words, a person (candidate) is seeking or being considered for a Bachelor's in Science (B.S.) When you receive the degree it is being 'awarded' to you. You can be a candidate in any field of study, from my experience it is most often used when referring to the sciences or law degrees.
i believe it means running for a position relevant to the president but with a lower position.
Diversity is the state or quality of being different or varied.
It was pretty high on the issues list in the 1950's so being against communism certainly worked in favor of any candidate seeking public office.
Being different
I want this position because we can both benefit from my employment with your company. I am a diligent and productive worker and the best candidate for this job because you will not find an employee who works harder or cares more. Your company will absolutely prosper with my employment.
Unemployment can be caused by many things. Loss of employment can come from layoffs due to down sizing, or tough competition for job openings, as well as a candidate being overqualified.
Diversity is the number of different role players (species) in an area. I like to think of diversity in the form of niches. The number of niches being filled in an ecosystem is directly related to the diversity.
No he isn't
