Normal inert gases that are in the air, unburnt fuel, carbon monoxide, radiation and Mercury. The mercury is used in place of the lead that was used in the past. The radiation is used to counter act the acids in the fuel used to eat the mercury. The Catalytic converter, radioactive, was added to the exhaust system because the acids were breaking down the asphalt roads. So now the roads last longer, but the unburnt mercury is in the soil and the water causing major health issue's.
Funny thing was the lead in the gas helped the engine run better due to the fact it was a lubricant and it didn't have any harmful side effects unless it was ingested.
A new catalytic converter will help to reduce your car's emissions, you can also take your car to a local garage and have them perform tests on it to see how else emissions can be reduced
No. The muffler is a passive component in the exhaust emissions system.
Yes if it is emissions related.
The same as in any car.
There is no such thing on this car.
Answering "What emissions control device on a car lowers carbon monoxide content?"
The Catalytic Converter is an emissions control device on your car and can be disabled (illegally). Your car will still have power if it is broken/disabled but will fail emissions.
Carbon Monoxide is the most common gas emitted from a car.
Get it fixed.
It would be illegal to drive the car if it does meet the state emissions standards.
In the state of Georgia, an emissions test must be passed in order to buy or sell a car. If a dealer sells a car to a customer and it fails emissions, the dealer is responsible for it.
Yes electric vehicles produce Zero Emissions. The only emissions that can be created are from the utility companies to create the electricity. Of course if your using renewable energy's then there are no emissions period.
